Gotten the Sonicwall GVPN Client to work with Windows 8.1 on the MS Surface Pro, and if so, how did you do it? All software and firmware are up to date and the GVPN client software is the latest available from Sonicwall for Windows 8. It seems that something in this setup is disabling the wireless function after a reboot. Uninstalling the Sonicwall GVPN Client restores wireless access. Stopped working and thus the Sonicwall GVPN Client no longer works. On the first reboot after installation and testing my wireless access The Sonicwall GVPN Client worked fine (I was able to establish a VPN session) and my wireless access worked fine. Rebooted, and installed Sonicwall GVPN Client 4. After upgrading the Surface Pro to Windows 8.1 the Sonicwall GVPN client stopped working with numerous IPSEC errors. Using the Client Policy Provisioning technology, you define the VPN policies for Global VPN Client users. The GroupVPN feature on the Dell SonicWALL network security appliance and the Global VPN Client dramatically streamlines VPN deployment and management. I was running Sonicwall Global VPN Client 4.7.3 on my Surface Pro/Windows 8 with no problems. The GroupVPN feature provides automatic VPN policy provisioning for Global VPN Clients.
